Dean Burmester has sporting blood in his family – his father Mark was an elite cricket player and represented Zimbabwe in international competitions, while his mother Michelle was a top-notch golfer who owns the women’s course record at their home club. Burmester followed his mother’s footsteps into golf and has posted nine wins since turning pro in 2010. Born in Zimbabwe, the big-hitting Burmester represents South Africa and resides in that country. He’ll feel right at home as a member of Louis Oosthuizen’s all-South African Stinger GC.
